The Center for Healing Injury and Pain

The Center for Healing Injury and Pain offers therapies for ligamentous, muscular, myofascial, skeletal, and psychological problems resulting from traumatic, developmental, or degenerative injury. Such injuries usually manifest some degree of musculoskeletal pain and disability, as well as post-traumatic stress disorder.

We address five major areas of injury diagnosis and healing including...

  • Musculoskeletal Medicine - Emphasizing the diagnosis of anatomical dysfunction and determining and guiding an integrated, holistic approach to multidisciplinary therapy and rehabilitation. Anatomically, this is a bottom-to-top functional approach.

  • Osteopathic Therapy - Emphasizes osteopathically grounded restorative therapy of the musculoskeletal system. This therapy provides specific resolution of painful and disabling skeletal joint misalignment and dislocation, as well as relief of ligament and muscle strain patterns.

  • Myofascial Bodywork - Emphasizing therapeutic, hands-on therapy of the sheath of fibrous tissue that lies below the skin and envelopes all muscles. Treating injured myofascia in this way integrates the body structure as a whole, stabilizing and retaining proper anatomic alignment and balance.

  • Physical Therapy - Which emphasizes physical therapy of muscle, ligament, and skeletal injury and restrengthening core body posture to stabilize and retain proper anatomic structure and and balance. Our main goal is to attain best possible functional restoration, rehabilitation, and personal therapeutic exercise.

  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Therapy - Emphasizing a body-centered, "Somatic Experiencing", psychotherapeutic approach to resolve post-traumatic stress disorder.

Dr. Gary Clark Gary B. Clark, MD, MPA, directs our clinic, carefully staffing it with a team of dedicated and experienced healthcare professionals.
